Whether you have one or more permanent teeth missing, Dr. Ly can create a beautiful and functional smile that feels completely natural with dental implants. Implants are the finest alternative to missing teeth, and are far more superior compared to complete dentures, partial dentures, and even have advantages over crowns and bridgework. With dental implants, your new smile will look and feel natural, and allow you to enjoy your life without having to worry about the insecurities of missing teeth or dentures.

The Numbers on Missing Teeth

69% of adults ages 35-44 are missing at least one permanent tooth.
26% of adults over the age of 76 are missing all of their permanent teeth.
3.3% is the average number of decayed or missing teeth in adults ages 20-64.

Issues Addressed by Dental Implants

One or More Missing Teeth

Teeth can be replaced that may be missing due to accident, injury, decay, or extraction.

Unstable Dentures

Implants can be permanently placed into the jawbone to act as an anchor, and a denture can be made that clips into the affixment. This keeps the denture in place without having to worry about illfitting dentures or goopy liners to keep them in place.

No Support for Bridges

Implants can be used as anchors for fixed bridges where teeth are missing.

Benefits of Dental Implants

Stability

Implants are rooted into the jawbone for strength and stability.

Comfort

Implants feel more like natural teeth than other tooth replacement options.

Aesthetics

Implants are custom made to look like your natural teeth.

Durability

Implants can last a lifetime, whereas complete dentures and partial dentures should be replaced or adjusted every few years.

Bone Health

Implants prevent jawbone loss that can lead to sunken features and other issues.

The Procedure

  1. Performed at Dr. Ly’s office with local anesthesia.
  2. The titanium implants are placed below the gum line into the jawbone.
  3. After the gums are healed, Dr. Ly will connect an abutment to the implant post.
  4. A custom-made prosthetic tooth is affixed to the abutment.
  5. Follow up with Dr. Ly to make sure everything looks and feels great.
